Convection Microwave Oven Cooking

How do microwave ovens affect the food that it cooks? well to be perfectly honest and equally vague, it depends. There are a lot of people who believe that microwaves are evil and should never be used because they cause cancer and kill lots of people. Obviously this is extreme and inaccurate.

There are three main factors involved when it comes to a cooking devices effect on food: The amount of water used when cooking, the length of time the food will be cooked and the temperature at which the food is cooked. Microwaves do deactivate b-12 so that we can’t really use it. However when compared with steaming and cooking thing traditionally there are pretty equal trade-offs when comparing it to microwave cooking.

Another concern that people have with microwaves is the potential for radiation poisoning. Those who try to persuade you that you’re going to get tumors by using a microwave are off their rocker. the radiation emitted by microwaves is so negligible that even mice were tested negative for radiation poisoning when tested against microwaves.

In general microwave ovens are simple extremely convenient and they’re going to be around for a while especially in college dorms. Not to down play the fact that a huge industry of unhealthy food has cropped up because of this invention but when used in moderation it can really help ease life a little when you just want to chill out after a crappy day at work.
